Not seeing an offer yet does not explain why an application is pending. It may require a document, a result, further selection or simply a decision that has not been published. Start with your official application record instead of guessing from classmates’ offers or a list circulating online.

Check what you actually submitted

Sign in through the university’s official portal. Confirm the programme choices, intake, personal details and submission status. Save your reference and check whether any action or missing document is shown. Paying for an application is not always the same as submitting the completed form.

Check the email address and phone number on the application, including your spam folder. Read the university’s current admission notices for relevant deadlines or instructions.

Ask admissions a precise question

Use a verified contact and write: “My application reference is [reference], for [programme and intake]. The portal shows [exact status]. I submitted on [date]. Please confirm whether any document or action is outstanding.” Include only the information needed, and avoid posting identification or results publicly.

Keep a record of the reply. Do not repeatedly create new applications or pay another agent because a decision is taking time. If a university publishes an approved alternative-placement process, check that it applies to your intake and circumstances.

Review eligibility without assuming the outcome

Compare your full results with the programme’s current subject requirements. Our D7, E8 and F9 guide explains why a required subject matters more than a general claim that a university accepts a grade. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee selection or available space.

UG’s admission guidelines are an example of why applicants should follow the institution’s own instructions. Different universities, modes and programmes have different rules.

Build a realistic alternative plan

List options you would genuinely consider: another eligible programme, an accredited diploma or technical route, a resit, a later intake or a structured year of preparation. Check deadlines, total costs and progression conditions before deciding. Do not choose an unsuitable programme solely because someone promises a quick offer.

If you need a new application, first confirm that the relevant intake is still open. SellePins offers products such as KNUST admission forms, Legon admission forms and UCC admission forms; product availability does not prove a university’s application deadline is open or that you qualify.

Use the waiting period productively

Organise documents, practise writing and digital skills, and build a small savings plan where possible. Explore internship preparation or online-work skills without committing to a job that would prevent you from responding to an offer. If resitting, follow the official First Series planning guide.

Set a sensible routine for checking updates rather than refreshing the portal constantly. Agree with your family or sponsor what you will do if no offer arrives before an alternative deadline.

When an offer arrives

Verify it through the university, read the conditions and follow our admission-letter action checklist. Do not send money to someone claiming they can secretly guarantee a place, change grades or bypass published requirements. Only the institution can confirm admission.

Frequently asked questions

Does no offer mean I have been rejected?

Not necessarily. Check the exact portal status and official notices, and ask admissions whether any action is outstanding.

Should I buy another form immediately?

First verify your current application and the alternative programme’s eligibility and deadline. A second purchase does not guarantee admission.
