Technical and Vocational Results: Check the Examining Body First

CTVET, NABPTEX and NVTI labels can appear on different records and older guidance. Before trying a checker, identify the body named on your own examination documents and the year of the sitting. A familiar acronym in an advert is not enough to establish that a voucher will work.

Collect the examination name, programme, sitting and candidate or index number. Keep any reference originally supplied by your institution. Ask the institution which current official service handles that record if its instructions are old or incomplete.

CTVET has an official result-checker login. This does not establish that every historical technical or vocational qualification is handled by the same form. Follow the directions applicable to your specific record.

An earlier version of this article claimed a fixed number of uses and directed every reader to buy another checker. Those claims have been removed because they were not established for every examination service. Read the current portal instructions or ask your institution before paying.

Do not invent a centre, programme or candidate number merely to proceed. Save the page address and describe which requested field you cannot match to your record. Your institution can help identify whether you are using the wrong service or need additional information.

Keep the receipt and product description. Ask the retailer to explain compatibility with your examination and year. A WAEC checker should not be assumed to work on an unrelated examination system.
