NSMQ 2026: Enyan Denkyira SHTS Qualifies for First Time Since 1993

Enyan Denkyira Senior High Technical School has made history by qualifying for the National Science and Maths Quiz National Championship for the first time since the competition began in 1993.

The Central Region school secured its historic qualification after winning a closely contested regional qualifier with 33 points. Assin State College followed with 31 points, while Abakrampa SHTS and Diaso SHS obtained 26 and 24 points respectively.

Enyan Denkyira SHTS entered the final Riddle Round trailing its competitors but produced an impressive comeback to take the lead and claim the qualification ticket.

The victory earns the school its first-ever appearance at the NSMQ National Championship and marks a significant achievement for its students, teachers and supporters.

Enyan Denkyira SHTS joins Senya SHS, Wesley Girls’ High School and other successful schools from the Central Region at the 2026 national competition.
